Hi there,
I've been running 4 x 3TB SEAGATE NAS drives for the last few years, and with one drive now starting to show errors (32) after 3.6 years of use, I'm doing my research for when I need to replace one or more of them.
Can/should you use the Surveillance drives in a NAS? Or should I just stick to NAS drives?
(SEAGATE Skyhawk vs WD Purple)

Skyhawk and WD Purple drives are based on the NAS-purposed models, and are also on the HCL for the RN104.
So I think they'd be fine.
