(SOLVED)ACT lamp active all the time

Hi guys 😄
Not a very imaginative title...lol
I started my Readynas RN10400 and the start process Went ok...
I have access to my shares...
I cannot access the web interface...
The ACT lamp is Active all the time....can that be the reason for no Connection to the web interface?
RAIDar is not giving me a status for the hard drives....just a Little empty Square where there usually is the status lights etc.
Am i missing something here?

What happens when you try to access the web interface?

I believe the ACT LED being active all the time is normal.

RAIDar only has limited support for OS6. I believe I read here there will be some improvement in 6.2.0

What do you see under the Info (far right) column in RAIDar?

What do you see on the LCD on the front of the NAS (if it is off a brief press of the power button will turn it on)?

Hi mdgm...
Ok...I am getting wrong password or should I say the password window keeps popping up as if to say I am wrong...I have written down the password clearly and have used the same one before...but admin and password don't work now....
I am the password reset with email active...but how do I access that function?
Under info I have 6.1.7
On the LCD it shows 97% free and then IP address etc...

More info...
If I click on the link for network Icon in Windows 8.1 it wont open the web page and tries to go to https://127.0.0.1/admin/ under properties it shows this address but then the IP address further down and that is correct?

I have been clicking on "Installation" link on RAIDar to get to the web page login for the right IP address

An OS Re-install resets the admin password, but leaves data intact.

Backups are important though. Important data should not be stored on a single device.

OK! Everything Went OK with the resetting of the OS...now have access and it saved me a lot of time...
