Setup email alerting on ReadyNAS 102
ReadyNAS 102 with FW 6.9.4. I am trying to setup email alerting. I want it to connect to my (local) Exchange-server. I have setup a connecor for that. So for 'SMTP server' I put in the ip-address of the server, I use port 25. here is no need to authenticate, connector accepts everything from the ip-address, so I donot fill-in the fileds. At he 'from:' I put in: netgear-nas@customer.dom. When I send a test message, it comes back with "Cannot send a test message. Check authentication settings. Code: 5008010001" Yet, when I do a telnet to these address on port 25 I can send a message.
I also notice that the fields: Pasword and User are filled in by the system. Not sure why and what values they have.
Why is this not working? How can I get it working?
