Setup in Raid0
Hey,
I have been looking every where; google, this forum; the webinterface of my readynas, and I just can't find the answer;
How do I setup my Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ in Raid0?
I would like this as I am using it as storage, never cared much about speed for this.
Could anyone explain me how I can do this?
Thanks in advance,
MooFz

Re: Setup in Raid0
hey moofz, you're lucky I was looking for the same this afternoon (and I found it).
I have found it in the manual which is on the cd rom (hardware manual page 13)
Shut down the nas. Then push the reset button (in the back, you need a paperclip) and put the NAS on again. Keep the paperclip until all the leds are on. Release the reset button. Push the "backup" button in the front several times until the led you want is on. When "disk 1" led is lit it means you choose "factory default reset". Attention : you will loose all your data on the disk !!
Push the reset button a single more time to confirm this selection.
For the next see software manual page 42 (cd rom)
During this reset (after 2 or 3 minutes) the program RAIDar will startup. You will be able to select the raid mode.
good luck (but remember to back up your data before you start this process)
