Slow drag and drop performance from Windows 7
Hi all,
Hoping to get this question answered 🙂
Im having a Netgear Readnas Ultra 4 that is running smootly with a webserver, ftp and im deciding to use readydnla or twonky for streaming media... buth stream bluray quality-mkv's to my TV without any problem. When stresstesting (streaming mkv AND drag and drop) the performance is still the same with transfering files from my Windows 7 (x64) to the Readynas ultra 4. I just dont seem to get the rate above 3MB/s. I googled my ass off and done everything anybody has done to get the rate to an acceptable 20MB/s. My Network is fully 1Gbit. This is what i have done already:
- connected it directly to the nas, no performance increase
- Changed the mtu, since it helped for people that were on wireless... set it back to 1500 since it didnt help
- followed this http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=36820&p=310747&hilit=windows+7+slow#p310747 by changing netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
- finding a firmwareupdate for my Zyxel NBG 460N router, but i already have the latest firmware
- setting jumbo packages on my NIC and also my ReadyNAS, and disabled after it didnt do the trick
- Even a factory reset, without any addons running didnt do the trick!
im out of options here... so here is my status screen:
and here you can see the interface without errors in the log:
As you can see no collisions or whatever!
Please! i find 3MB/s unacceptable!
