Squeezebox radio and Readynas problem
Hi all,
I am fairly sure that there is an answer to my problem, I just can't find it!
I have a Readynas Ultra 2 plus with the latest version of SqueezeCentre (installed correctly using squeeze clean at every stage) which is the server for my Squeezebox radio.
My Squeezebox radio is playing my music perfectly but, I can't get it to connect to mysqueezebox.com at the same time as the readynas - It treats them as two seperate servers that I have to switch between, is this correct?
Currently, if I turn off my readynas my squeezebox loses internet connection until I switch servers - Is this normal.
The reason for my concern is that I want to control my squeezebox by either the iphone app or by the wifi remote but currently they can't connect.
Thanks in advance for help.

Re: Squeezebox radio and Readynas problem
Mysqueeszebox.com is primarily for those who do not run a local server - use one or the other, not both simultaneously (which as you've found you cannot)

I don't think that's strictly true. I have had the to cohabiting for years with no problem, until recently. I believe the local server passes of the squeezebox [or other device] connection to mysqueezebox.com, but the local server signs you on to mysq......com.
In my case it can no longer do that because the set up page returns "invalid user name or password". But if I direct my browser to mysque....com I can log on with no problem using the same id and password. Its an incredibly frustrating new "feature".
BTW, feel free to help if you have any knowledge regarding this enhancement. 😞

Re: Squeezebox radio and Readynas problem
Could it be that the two are out of sync? I have been running a local server (Ubuntu), a Buffalo (stripped down squeezeserver), and mysqueezebox and I find that when you switch between mysqueezebox and either of the servers it looks at the firmware level. If they are in sync it works fine, if not (or in the case of the Buffalo Linkstation where they control when it gets updated) it forces a firmware update to the squeeze device.
