Ultra 2 Plus auto turtn ON fan at HIGH speed ???
I had ReadyNAS Ultra 2 Plus that I leave it ON 24/7 and most of the time, it's on STAND BY mode. (I configured to spin down after 15 mins)
I recently noitice the FAN is turn ON at HIGH SPEED for 10-15 min, during this time, the HD is running and I can feel the hot air coming out from the back. At this time, no one in my family access the NAS. I also try to removed the network cable but the problems still the same. The Fan can turn ON HIGHT at any time which I do not know.
I'm currently running Radiator: 4.2.22
Does this problems happen to your Ultra 2 Plus?
Does anyone know why and how to fix it?
Thanks

Re: Ultra 2 Plus auto turtn ON fan at HIGH speed ???
There is no stand-by mode. With disk spindown enabled, the system is still fully running, but lets the disk heads park.
When you notice the fan getting really loud, you could try downloading the system logs (FrontView>Status>Logs>Download All Logs), and open up processes.log inside the zip. This would show what programs are running and using the CPU, causing the fan to run high to cool it down more.
