Unable to Move Folders with same name
Hi all,
I am trying to move some folders on Readynas 104.
Senario is like this :
in Video folder there is a Folder named Samsung.
Also I have another folder named Samsung on the root with having same folders underneath it.
When I move the Samsung folder from root to Video folder, It creates new folder named Samsung (1) instead of moving sub folders into Samsung.
How can i overcome this problem?
Because there is huge data within subfolders.

Re: Unable to Move Folders with same name
Are you using file explorer? Or the web ui? File Explorer is much faster.
If the target folder already exists, then you can go into the source folder, select all files, and then drop them into the target folder.

Re: Unable to Move Folders with same name
I tried FTP, Nas File Explorer and also from Windows.
I can move files but there are too many files and folders with same name as I described earlier.
My concern is only that its not overwiritng folder instead it creates new folder with same name and (1) at last.
How can I overcome this ?

Re: Unable to Move Folders with same name
Hello poojaratele,
Please check the security of the subfolder that is inside the Videos main share. Make sure Everyone is allowed/permitted then try again. It is possible that it is restricted.
Also, how do you copy the main share to one of the subfolders? Do you drag and drop or copy/paste?
Regards,
