Unable to access ReadyNAS via the cloud

I installed my ReadyNAS to my network several weeks ago via the cloud service.  I have two PCs on my office network.  I am able to access the folders on the readyNAS via FIle explorer from one PC consistently.  I am able to browse the folders on the NAS locally for a minute or two, and then the connection is lost, and I have seen notices that the NAS is rejecting the connection request.

I am not able to access the NAS from the cloud at all, either via a browser interface of the local ReadyCloud app. The cloud service shows my NAS as Offline.

DO i need some ports open or forwarded on my firewall?

All machines are on the same subnet, I can ping the readyNAS from both of my PCs even when I cant access the folders.

Thanks,

Re: Unable to access ReadyNAS via the cloud

Stephen,  In REadyCLoud I bet notification that the NAS is offline. The readycloud app installed on both of my pc's shows the NAS as being offline also.  I can browse to the NAS from both pc's now .  eth/0 is on 10.10.10.1/24 subnet and eth/1 is on 192.168.1.1/24 subnet.  I can browse to NAS on both subnets. earlier the connectioin was being rejected by the NAS

Re: Unable to access ReadyNAS via the cloud

Hallo,

since some days I have nearly the same problem.

ReadyCloud Net Acces via browser: XXX is offline - check power and internet connectivity

ReadyCloud Client V1.15: offline

Access via Admin Page: [Cloud] V internet available V services available -> no problem

Access vial LAN (net use): no problem

One thing I recognized: After a reboot of my ReadyNAS, the access by ReadyCloud is working some time (minutes? / I have to investigate)

So what makes the ReadyNAS to tell me it's offline while it's not?

Is the ReadyNAS on a corporate network or a home network?

Re: Unable to access ReadyNAS via the cloud

Hi StephenB

It's on a home network behind a fritz-box 7490

Re: Unable to access ReadyNAS via the cloud

For some reason the ReadyCloud servers are losing contact with the NAS.

If the NAS doesn't have a reserved IP address in in the Fritz box, maybe start by reserving one.

Re: Unable to access ReadyNAS via the cloud

Stephen,

Thanks for the replies.  I found my problem.  I had an IP address conflict on the network.  I sorted that out and that solved the issue.
