I map using net use net use S: \\pro4\c /User:admin "password"
I create a test file and can confirm that permissions show as admin(PRO4\admin)

Random and nothing specific. It could be just a root folder. Why do you ask? Are the permission "limitations" on the ReadNAS?
I have had this issue for 5 years since my first NAS (NV+) using the Sparc firmware and continues to be an issue on a PRO4 using the (x386 Firware). It has got so annoying that I have started using my other Brand NAS as primary which is sad. I like the ReadyNAS's (excluding no eSATA ports and the USB3 port being no faster than USB2 on the PRO2). This honestly isn't a bitching session however something needs to be done about this issue. It is common to a lot of users and not a problem other Brands (which aren't perfect either).
We can't eep resetting the Permissions on All folders each time nor can we give all users admin access to all folders.
Perhaps if we knew the limitations it may help?
Cheers
