Unable to reset ReadyNAS 21200 to factory settings
Hi, i had to relocate my ReadyNas to a new location from my office to my home and i am unable to find the device on my network or using RAIDar. when i took the hard drives out, the device did show up on RAIDar but not with the HDD. also the power light is flashing continuously with disks in the NAS. I have all office backup on the HDD and need to access asap. When i try and do access the boot menu by using the reset button on the back of device, it is not doing anything and the power LED keeps blinking. please help, thanks

Re: Unable to reset ReadyNAS 21200 to factory settings
If RAIDar finds the NAS without drives, and gives the status that no disks are installed, that tends to say the hardware and flash are OK, but the volume on the drives is not. The last test you could do is to install just a spare drive (with nothing on it you care about) and see if it'll create a volume.
If it will, then an OS re-install would be the next step. I'm unsure why you can't get to the boot menu, though. It's a little tricky with a 2-bay NAS with no display, but it should work if you are following the proper procedure for your NAS. BTW, the OS re-install does need to be done with the original drives inserted.
