Upgrading a ReadyNAS 312 from 6.2.4 to Latest Firmware

Hi Everyone,

Can someone advise if it is possible to upgrade a ReadyNAS 312 from firmware version 6.2.4 straight to the latest firmware? (6.9.n)

I've looked through various Firmware release notes and I can't seem to find anything to say that you can't but I was just wanting to double check

It may be OK but just to be sure I would install 6.3.5, then 6.5.2, then 6.9.2

The release notes state this for some current ReadyNAS models (but not the 312)

Better safe than sorry, back up your Data first, and your Configuration file

They shouldn't take that long

6.3.x was for the RN200 series.

If you do want to upgrade to an intermediate firmware I’d upgrade to 6.5.2 then to the latest. The instruction to update to 6.2.5/6.3.5 (if running older firmware) then to 6.5.2 (if running older firmware) then to the latest was for the ARM models whereas the RN312 is one of the x86 models.
