Used Capcacity of Shares
Working with a ReadyNAS Pro4. I have several shares setup. I am getting warning messages that the Pro4 is reaching capacity.
I am trying to find out how much data is in each share, but I do not see a way to find out. Right clicking and selecting properties in Windows just shows three tabs: General, Security and Customize... none of which have any capacity parameters.
Any other way to find out besides manually adding up all the sub folders?

Re: Used Capcacity of Shares
No, there isn't another way to check per share. When you log into FrontView and go to Volume Settings, it shows how much space has been used.

instead of selecting the share properties, select all the folders within that share and go to properties.
alternatively, if you have or get SSH access, you can use the DF (disk space free) and DU (disk space used) commands, google has all kinds of further info on the commands if you need, but for example;
du -hsc /c/media/*
would show all space usage totals for each subfolder in the media share.

Re: Used Capcacity of Shares
selecting all the items and then right clicking and selecting properties gives me what I need.
Amazing. After all these years of right clicking on single items I didn't know there was a properties option for a group of items. I always new copy and paste was there... just never looked down at the bottom.
Thanks for pointing it out to me.
:slap:
I'll save the other tricks listed for when I have more time to work with them.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
