Netgear hasn't launched a new ReadyNAS product since 2017, so they appear to be quiet-quitting their storage business. If you want to migrate to a new NAS, you'll need to select a different vendor.
You could use the RN316 as a backup NAS (you can use rsync for this, as it is commonly supported on all linux-based NAS).
FWIW, the link in rupindersingh's reply is not relevant, as you don't have a ReadyNAS that runs 4.2.x firmware.

Welcome to the Community!
Since you already have a backup of your data, it will be easier for you to just reformat the disks and then restore the data afterwards.
Just in case that your backup is not up-to-date, there is a process on how you can access the data using the new NAS and offload it temporarily to an alternate location (external USB HD, network share, etc.). You may check this link for the procedure.
