Newbie question I know. But I stumbled upon this service on our church's ReadyNAS Duo. I am wondering if I can stream recorded church services to our congregation somehow. Would there be a link to download a VLC player?
The streaming service (ReadyDLNA) is for the local LAN, it will not work for general internet streaming. For recorded material, I think a hosted web site would be what you need.
You cannot stream with it, but you could set up HTTP share and let everyone download those straight from the ReadyNAS. Or do as StephenB suggested find yourself hosting provider and set up everything there. As there are lots of "youtube like" website integratable players which you could set up for such purpose.
