Re: admin page keeps loading in a loop netgear nas 104 after update Version 6.10.5

No matter what I try I can't update to the prior firmware.  I now have a brick on my desk.  When I try to load the binary .img file I get a communication error.  HELP

Are you still getting the login loop?

I'm not quite sure how, but I was finally able to revert back to 6.10.4.  Only problem was, it deleted everything I had.  But, at least I don't have a brick anymore.  I'm not sure how many family photos are gone forever though.  Thanks for the reply

had the same problem.

Thanks thanks to your solution it was resolved within 2 hours.

And now I know how to upgrade or downgrade without the web interface

Google translates this as "Backup button tasks failed"  Is that the way you'd translate it?

Are you seeing this when you upload the 6.10.4 image?  Did you extract the image from the zip file, or did you attempt to upload the full zip?

This coupled with the use of the NAS Utilities Android app to gain SHH acess sorted it out for me now back to 6.10.4 and Updates now set to Long-Term Support.

Thanks you 🙂

In my experience, downgrading to 6.10.4 (from 6.10.9) did not resolve the issue. I still get the admin page login loop on Mac Safari. However, what has worked for me, both before and after downgrading, is to simply use a Safari Incognito window. I am able to login with no issues that way.

I'm not familiar with Mac of Safari, but that typically means you saved an incorrect password in the browser (maybe an old one you've now changed).

Re: admin page keeps loading in a loop netgear nas 104 after update Version 6.10.5

@Sandshark  Yes, I did have the correct password saved in Safari (technically, in the Mac Passwords app). But I just now deleted it, and re-deleted all browser storage, and the admin login loop issue is still happening (on 6.10.4).

So those of you that have downgraded to 6.10.4, do you have to enter your password manually every time? Because this would be the same end result as using a private/incognito window with 6.10.9.
