apt-get update problem
Would love to install git-scm on my Ultra 4 NAS but currently apt-get update is stopping me from doing this.
The error I need to overcome is:

- WhoCares_MentorMaybe you just need to try again. Some of the debian mirrors had some problems lately. Other than that you may want to check the free space on the OS partition of your ReadyNAS. If there's not enough room left for unpacking the indizes, you'd see the errors you're getting.
-Stefan - DashuAspirantHow would one go about viewing free space on OS partition?
Feels weird with the "No such file or directory" error, the file is clearly there.
Has been like this for two weeks now.

If I'm correct there, did you try downloading from your desktop computer or from the ReadyNAS? Chances are your ReadyNAS got some wrong DNS information or can't get to the hosts with the files for some other reason.
For a simple check, what happens if you do awget http://archive.debian.org
when on an SSH shell on the ReadyNAS?
-Stefan - DashuAspirantThanks Stefan!
Your reply got me thinking and now I feel a bit shamed.
The way my network is set up, the NAS haven't got connection to the internet :)
Hmm need to solve how to get the 3g usb modem working on the nas first.
Thanks for your help!
