file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a Filebrowser for a Readynas Duo V2?
I would like to copy data between shares en folders directly.

I mean if I do this with my Laptop the data is goes over the Wifi and that's slow.
I see addons for other Netgear devices but not for the Duo V2.

Greetings,

Yammax

Hi,
where to find the file browser (arm) for Readynass Duo V2 (RAIDiator 5.3.6)?
How to copy files in the background of the share network devices (PC, NAS)?

Did they remove it, or did it never exist for ARM?

Yes it did exist if you have a read of this topic viewtopic.php?f=36&t=67858 you can see why some apps are not available at the moment.

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

That's a sin. presently the only way I can move files is by backup, which means I need to sort them into a folder, COPY them to another location than delete the originals?

Sigh.

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

Can you install webmin on a ReadyNAS?
The file manager in Webmin allows you to move/copy files and gives easy access to the command prompt

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

I also can't believe there is no other filebrowser solution in the Duo V2 then to make a backup job......

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

Are these the 2 addons I need to get the app to work on my sparc Duo ver 1?

https://genie.netgear.com/UserProfile/# ... :service12
https://genie.netgear.com/UserProfile/# ... :service20

Could some one please step me through the steps of downloading and installation and use before I spend $6 to purchase these 2 apps?

Thanks.

Genie is only available on the ARM platform (Duo/NV+ version 2) at the moment.

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

Darn it!

Such a utility that lets you copy/move files directly on the NAS would be very useful for all platforms.
Are such add-ons not possible on sparc and intel based ReadyNAS's?

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

The Genie App Store is limited to v2, but the sparc and x86 platforms have more add-ons than the v2. You just have to get them a different way. There are links in the forum.

You can get php from here: http://readynasxtras.com/readynas-sparc ... p-53-sparc or get it as a bundle with phpadmin here: http://readynasxtras.com/readynas-sparc ... dles-sparc

There are a few file explorers here: http://www.readynas.com/?cat=65 AjaXplorer is the one you linked to in the app store.

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

Thank you for the info!

Would you advise installing these on a baseline Duo ver 1 with 256 MB of RAM (I think).
The only other addon I use is ReadyDLNA.

I don't want to bog down the Duo and affect its performance.

Re: file explorer for Readynass Duo V2?

I haven't installed them myself (and I only use my duo for backup at this point). I don't see any comments on the forum complaining about the performance - maybe someone who uses the package on their sparc platform will chime in.

You will want version 5 for AjaXplorer, there are some issues with large file sizes (> 2 GB) with the older versions.
