how to configure scheduled readynas PRO reboot??

One of our ReadyNAS Pro servers needs to be rebooted daily...

How can this be configured within the ReadyNAS??

Thank you, Tom

In Frontview, go to System > Power and configure the Power Timer?

Note the ReadyNAS will need to be powered off automatically to be powered on automatically.

Why does the Pro need to be rebooted daily?

I know about the power timer -- what I want is a REBOOT -- aka power OFF then power ON.

It needs daily reboot because of network issues.

Again, how do I schedule a daily REBOOT?? -- can this be done with a cron job???

Thank you, Tom

Don't think it can be done easily. Unless you write a cron job where you include the admin username and password in the file and do it via wget.

You could power the NAS off using the power timer and then schedule it to power on again about 15 minutes later.

One would think that dealing with the network issues would be a better option than rebooting the NAS daily. ReadyNAS units have been known to run for years without needing a reboot.
