iTunes, RN102 and 312, iTunes 'Compilations' not working properly

Hi, Have several ReadyNAS's, 102 and 312, both with System 6.4.2, and with 2 x 2 TB drives

 

I have enabled directory 'Music' for iTunes.  Can access it on Sonos controller and all compilations list correctly - ie with all tracks listed under their respective albumn.  The same correct operation is when iTunes accesses the albums stored on the computer in Users/user name/music/itunes/itunes media

 

However, when the same albums are coped to 'Music' on readyNAS, and they are accessed from iTunes 12 (Mac), each album appears mulitple times, but only has inside the tracks pertaining to each separate artist.  In other words, if there are 6 artists listed, then there are six separate Albums with the same name, each with the tracks belonging to each of the artists.

 

Have tried recopying etc with no success - can anyone help please.

I think you will need to retag the tracks.  There is an "album artist" tag that you can set for all songs in the album.

 

You can set it to anything you like - including "various".
