migrating data from Readynas 3200 (Raidiator 4,x,x) to Readynas 3220 (OS 6.x.x)
Dear community,
i have an issue to migrate the homefolders from an Readynas 3200 device to an Readynas 3220 (Frontview Rsync). The linked tutorial doesnt work for the private folders. Another issue is that all passwords getting lost after exporting the group and user polices on the old device and importing them into the new one. Any ideas how to migrate the whole data (including private folders) and group/user policies on the new device?

Roughly how many home folders do you have to move?

What you could do is:
- create the users
- transfer the home share using OS4 admin account via smb to OS6
- put the data into a share
- set the permissions on the copied home folders via Explorer
- get the users to connect and move their data
Another option would be to write a batch script on a PC, to connect on OS4, connect on OS6 and move data from home to home, looping through users.
