readynas 214 & logitech media server.
I asked this question last year but wasn't notified of any response, even though I checked "email me when someone replies".
Logitech Media Server switches itself off, seemingly at random.
Cheers,
Trevor

Re: readynas 214 & logitech media server.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply. I'm sure I tried reinstalling last year when this first started to happen, but I'm happy to try again. Which Media Server version do I need? The Logitech page you linked to sends me to:
logitechmediaserver-7.7.6-arm-readynas.bin
The ReadyNAS apps page sends me to:
nastools-logitechmediaserver_7.9.0.1477086729-nt1_armel.deb
However Logitech Media Server no longer appears in "Available Apps" on the Admin page of my ReadyNAS, which is where I got the link originally.
Cheers,
Trevor

Reinstalled but Media Server still stops - it seems after a period of inactivity.

Re: readynas 214 & logitech media server.
Have you checked system.log and kernel.log for crashes?
If you have ssh enabled, you could also look to see if the process(es) are still there when it stops responding.

Re: readynas 214 & logitech media server.
Nothing relevant in system.log. Where do I find kernel.log? It's not in the dropdown list on the admin page.

Re: readynas 214 & logitech media server.
Download the full zip file via the log page in the admin web ui. The zip contains system.log and kernel.log. These are different from what you see on the web page itself.

Re: readynas 214 & logitech media server.
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the reply, LMS has been running fine until today when I've found it stopped. I downloaded the zip file as suggested, but there's nothing I can see which relates to a crash.
Seems I can't upload the file for you to have a look.
Cheers,
Trevor

This is still happening. Logitech Media Server just stops running - seemingly at random.
