remove inactive volumes after reboot
Hi there
My NAS was working for the past few years very good, until recently I could write anything. After reboot all my volumes disappeard and "Remove inactive volumes" message appeard, disk turned red, and cannot access anything. Can anyone help with this?

It's best to use paid support to resolve this (my.netgear.com)

You have too many drives out of sync with each other for the OS to recognize they go together as a single volume.
I wrote a post on one way to recover such volumes. I have since learned that there are many ways you can end up where you did, and taking the wrong step in trying to recover can be disasterous. Unfortunately, the determination of where you stand so you can determine a proper course of action to take is best left to experts. There's just not a lot of information out there for a novice to use in going it alone.
I got lucky in that I had a pretty good idea of what caused my volume to go haywire, and I was right.
