ssh add-on - logs out immediately
I have a ReadyNAS NV+ (RAIDiator 4.1.13)
I installed the ssh add-on and can connect via PuTTY. But as soon as I enter the password, the console closes. I am having difficulty getting DLNA to scan all my media files, so I need access to try and find out what is going on.
Any advice and help gratefully received. Couldn't see a more appropriate forum for ssh-related issues so here I am...
Thanks!
Bill

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSSH login is 'root' not 'admin'. The root user is a separate user to the admin user, but the password is initially set to be the same as the admin password. The add-on is EnableRootSSH.
Have you tried the ReadyDLNA update?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=27946
If you download the logs (or SSH in and do # cat /var/log/upnp-av.log) are there any clues in upnp-av.log? What about when you have run a full scan after installing the Toggle Debug add-on? - zeltusAspirantThank you! Solved in an instant.
I am still looking at the logs. I have installed the latest ReadyDLNA (1.1.2.3) and the Toggle Debug add-on, to try and see what is going on : if I see anything interesting, I will report it (under the DLNA forum) and if I don't, I'll ell for more help.
Normally, I would delete the database and start again from scratch - is that a possibility?
Many thanks again, really, really much appreciated. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes you can delete the database.
If you want you could stop the service, rm /var/cache/minidlna/files.db, then start the service again.
