anybody did that ? I am stuck deciding which debian package to use. There is a .deb openvpn_2.4.0-6+deb9u1~bpo8+1_armel.deb, that should be in the jessie-backport but does not show up once jessie-backport is added to sources.list and after apt update.
this is a rather important update as tls version 1.2 is supported in 2.4

All good without reboot !
no one connected anymore around 2 o'clock ... I did a sudo make install on the readynas ... Replacing the old openvpn with the new one. Now on 2.4.6 ...
Data Channel: using negotiated cipher 'AES-256-GCM'

Re: upgrading openvpn from 2.3.4 to 2.4
Trying this now:
wget https://swupdate.openvpn.org/community/releases/openvpn-2.4.6.tar.gz
will post results.
(have to wait running make install till nobody uses the openvpn connection ...)
