usb offsite backup
i have a ReadyNas 314. i have setup the backup from our server to the NAS and it works great. i now need to setup an offsite backup to rotating usb drives. is there a way to backup to whatever usb drive is plugged in? currently each drive is coming up with a unique name "usb_drive1" and usb_drive2, etc, etc. it works if i specify the exact backup drive name but i cannot count on what usb drive will be on in a given week. thanks for you help
firmware version 6.4.1

Re: usb offsite backup
Hello diane12882,
Unfortunately, I believe there is none. Everytime USB disk is inserted to the NAS, the NAS randomly assigns a drive letter to it that you will use when creating a backup job.

Re: usb offsite backup
There is an option in backup jobs configured in the web admin UI to select a port e.g. the front USB port. So long as the backup disk is connected to the port your specify it shouldn't matter which disk is connected.
