vmware ESXi - backup iSCSI Volume on Ready Nas Pro?
Heres my setup
1 8TB ReadyNAS NVX as my main LAN storage
This gets rsynced to a 2nd identical NVX, for redundant backup
Ive now just bought a ReadyNAS Pro, 8TB, and created a 2TB iSCSI Volume on it. This is being used to host my VMWare ESXi data store, and serves no other purpose than this.
I want to backup my vmware storage by either...
Creating a 2nd iSCSI volume on the Pro, and replicating it across each night. Is this possible?
Alternatively some way I can backup the iSCSI volume to spare space on my NVX setup
Thanks

- ewokNETGEAR ExpertThe Frontview backup manager has options to backup the iSCSI volume image, but you'll need to make sure that the iSCSI volume is in a consistent state during the backup. You won't be able to replicate the contents of the iSCSI volume without third party software but instead, you would be copying the volume image itself.
