AFP doesn't work. Need to upgrade 4.1.6 ->4.1.8 ???

I upgraded from OSX Snow Leopard to Lion this friday. And now I can't connect to my DUO via AFP, see below, (but I can still connect via CIFS). So now I wonder: do I have to upgrade to get my "Lion" to talk to my DUO via AFP?

I have done absolutely nothing to the DUO in recent times (in terms of tweaks and hacks), and it has been running steady as a rock for a long long time. My philosophy has been "if it works, don't change it", explaining why I still run the 4.1.6 version.

Since my DUO is customized I know it will take me quite some time to do the upgrade - I'd like to avoid spending this time...

ERROR MESSAGE on the OSX Lion when trying to connect via AFP:
There was a problem connecting to the server “10.0.1.3”. The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve the problem.

Any help appreciated!

Yes, 4.1.8 or later is needed for Lion compatibility. 4.1.9 is in public beta at the moment.

For Snow Leopard, 4.1.7 or later is recommended.
