Accessing My Plex Media Database, on my RN Duo V2.0, by Using My Browser

Dear Forum Members, especially those that use Plex (PMS)

Up until 2 weeks ago, I could access my Plex database, to update and maintain my various entertainment media files, using my browsers.  Unfortunately, my PC suffered (what I call) a spontaneous MBR implosion which caused O/S to become unstable.  The upshot is that I lost most of what was on my C:\ drive including all my bookmarks, which included the URL which gave me access to Plex by bypassing my RN's dashboard.

OK, from what I remember the URL concerned was composed of my RN's IP address and a port number.

I would be very grateful if someone could let me know how to remake this URL, with the special port number, I can add my RN's IP address myself.

Thanks in advance.

You should still be able to manage the server from https://plex.tv

Assuming the default port (32400):  http://nasipaddress:32400/web/index.html should also work.

Also you can access this page via the Dashboard and would be able to get the URL to directly access it that way too.

Re: Accessing My Plex Media Database, on my RN Duo V2.0, by Using My Browser

Dear StephenB & mdgm

Both of you have given me exactly what I was looking for, and as you can imagine, after my system crash my mind is swimming with all the facilities and applications I need to get back in order to make my computer usage a pleasant experience again. But as you can guess some facilities get used so often that it can be forgotten how they actually work.

This was the case with me, I remembered the URL but completely forgot the port number and, because I have not used my RN's dashboard to access my PMS database for some time (approx. 2 years), I completely forgot how to do it.  However, after I wrote out my problem a little light went off in my brain and the RN dashboard/Plex database entry method was slowly coming back to me.

Anyway, thanks for both your help and I am now using the URL method to do some routine updates, usually some film, TV show or album Plex auto facility has got wrong.

Cheers Guys
