The apt repository for raidiator seems to have stopped working.

Did it move or is there an archive/mirror somewhere?

Re: Apt repositories for 4.2.31 fails
Hello potatopeel,
What are the command you are using? Have you tried doing the add-on installation/update through FrontView?

Re: Apt repositories for 4.2.31 fails
Hi,I'm not realy new, but just couldn't transfer the account over from the old system.
The problem is not related to updating of frontview. I just recently updated to the latest version 4.2.31 because I had the same problem on an older version and though you updated the apt sources file in the latest, but alas.
This is just "apt-get update" run from the commandline after the root ssh package has been installed.
nas:~# apt-get update Hit http://archive.debian.org etch Release.gpg Ign http://archive.debian.org etch/main Translation-en_US Hit http://archive.debian.org etch Release Ign http://archive.debian.org etch/main Packages/DiffIndex Hit http://archive.debian.org etch/main Packages Err http://www.readynas.com 4.2.31/ Release.gpg Connection failed Err http://www.readynas.com 4.2.31/ Translation-en_US Connection failed Ign http://www.readynas.com 4.2.31/ Release Ign http://www.readynas.com 4.2.31/ Packages Ign http://www.readynas.com 4.2.31/ Packages Err http://www.readynas.com 4.2.31/ Packages Connection failed W: Failed to fetch http://www.readynas.com/packages/4.2.31/Release.gpg Connection failed W: Failed to fetch http://www.readynas.com/packages/4.2.31/en_US.bz2 Connection failed W: Failed to fetch http://www.readynas.com/packages/4.2.31/Packages Connection failed E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. nas:~#
The problem is that the repository is not reachable ie. you should be able to read
http://www.readynas.com/packages/dists/4.2.31/Release
but this just redirects to the front page now
I see from https://github.com/ReadyNAS/sdk/wiki/Setup-CnCpp-compile-environment-(amd64)
that the repository line in sources.list for OS6 has changed to
deb http://apt.readynas.com/packages/readynasos 6.4.2 updates main
and I can reach
http://apt.readynas.com/packages/readynasos/dists/6.4.2/Release
So I'm wondering if also the repository has changed for the old Raidiator4.2
It used to work fine before, but this was maybe a year or two ago.

Hello potatopeel,
But the ReadyNAS device is getting on the Internet? May I ask why you do it on SSH?

Re: Apt repositories for 4.2.31 fails
Yes, as you can see from the log it has no problem to fetch data from the debian repositories. The links also don't work from another network and the second poster seems to also have the same issue.
It is not possible to install packages, other than the "apps" built by the community, from frontview so SSH is needed if I need something else.
Netgear has built custom readynas packages and thus there has been a readynas archive where these reside, just as for the newer OS6 as I pointed out. Some of these custom packages are sometimes needed as dependencies when installing new packages.

Re: Apt repositories for 4.2.31 fails
Looks like a 4.2.31 repository hasn't been created yet. Will get this fixed.

Re: Apt repositories for 4.2.31 fails
The repo was hidden and has now been unhidden. It should work fine now.

Re: Apt repositories for 4.2.31 fails
Sorry for the delay in my response.
I did an apt-get update on my nas now and it is the same problem.
I can do
wget http://www.readynas.com/packages/4.2.31/Release
and I can receive the file ok, but with apt-get you only get "Connection failed" as before.
To make sure there is nothing strange in my setup I added
deb http://www.readynas.com/packages 4.2.31/
to the source.list file on another server with latest debian install and get the same problem.
