I use Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Yandex, internet explorer, each time I logged into my RN316 I got that kind of certificate error.
How to solve that minor issue?

Re: Error certificate error on every browser
As a workaround, for connections STRICTLY WITHIN your intranet only you could use http instead of https to no longer see that message.

Re: Error certificate error on every browser
I did an exception and disregarded that warning on every browsers.
That was just to point the issue and to avoid others users having that issue too.
Anyway thanks!!!
Cheers!

Correct. With Firefox you can easily create a security exception, which is another workaround. You could alternatively install the NAS certificate as a trusted root cert in your PCs.
As an aside - there is no need to conceal 192.168.x.x addresses. They are private, and can't be used to reach your ReadyNAS over the internet.

Re: Error certificate error on every browser
Hi FramerV,
That looks like a great article, but step 4 doesn't work. At least not for me. The red x has now been replaced with an attention sign and the words not secure.
clicking on it gives me this menu
And then I'm stuck. Any help to get past this would be gratefully appreciated. Really I think Netgear need to update the article.
Regards
Ian
