Harddrive recovery
I have one the first readynas Ultra Pro. and the OS dead. I purchase a new and was told that the OS will not support the old unit.
So what I did was pulled the HD out and purchase a recovery program. which in someway it works.
So my questions are.
1. Now the recovery program read and I can see my files. do I just copy to my new HD?
2. I see alot of files directory that I did not do. and there is alot of different file extension that I do not know what it is.
How do I copy my exact files out and use it?

Re: Harddrive recovery
What do you mean by the OS dead?
Which new model did you purchase?
Do you have an open support case?
We do have a procedure to attempt to recover data using one of our new x86 units such as the 316 or 516.
What data recovery program did you get?
Are you seeing your data volume or just the 4GB root volume?
