LMS 7.9 on ReadyNAS PRO 6 (OS 6.5.0) does not downsample FLAC > 96/24

Hi,
I'm running LMS 7.9 on a ReadyNAS PRO 6 with OS 6.5.0 and I can no longer stream flac files above 96/24 on a SB Touch with active loudspeakers.

Installed is logitechmediaserver_7.9.0_all.deb which got "community released" a week ago.

My understanding is that LMS should down-sample any resolution higher than the SB device can support using SoX, however this does not appear to work on my installation, although the PRO 6 has sufficient processing power to do this on the fly.

I did some searching in this community and found this:

Could it be that the sox libgomp.so.1 is missing in the logitechmediaserver_7.9.0_all.deb that I used?

mherger on the LMS community answered: "The binaries we include should be statically linked."

Or am I using the wrong lms_1.0.9_all.deb from Super Poussin?

Any ideas from this community?
