First of all I would like to apologize if this is posted under the wrong topic.
I discovered a problem when trying to change my password. This was discovered while trying to access one CIFS-share that is only accessible to specific users. Now I always get an error message stating that I should contact the network administrator.
So what I have tried to do is to change to password through the Security -> Users under the web-control-page. But when I have pressed the apply button the password buttons (that each corresponds to a letter) is changed back to six instead of the numbers i just typed in, and I once again get the error message when trying to access the share.
Anyone else that has had similar problems? Can I change the password through ssh? In that case what is the filename and path?
Thanks for your reply, it is something like this I was looking for. However I am still not able to change the password, even while connecting over ssh as root. The error message I get is: Failed to add entry for user username.
