Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstalling app

OK So I have fixed my issue without having to go to the linux level

If you have set up a readycloud account, you can log in there and upgrade your firmware remotely.

This worked for me, I hadn't thought of this until Netgear informed me that my readycloud account was going to close and once I got in I upgraded the firmware and now I can access the admin page through the network

Hi

How can you update the OS when you cannot acces the admin page ? I had to do a factory reset and then do the update of the OS.

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

We have a method to do this via a low-level diagnostic mode.

In any case when I fix this problem currently I remove the broken symlink, I don't update the firmware.

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

Seeing you have SSH access,

# journalctl -a | grep apache2 | tail -n 20
# cd /etc/apache2/sites-enabled
# ls
# rm *shell*
# systemctl restart apache2

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

Hi there! I seem to be having this problem too after uninstalling an app. Everything works fine but I cant access the web admin page. Is there a way to fix it without factory reset?

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

Hi

I am in the same case.

ReadyNas works fine to access the file but impossible to access the admin interface.

Too bad you send the trick to restore it in PM 🙂

Thanks for your help,

Mickael

Do you have ssh access?  What firmware are you running?

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

Nope SSH does not seem to be enabled and I don't know the exact firmware number (something like 6.x)

I am currently backuping the data (only 15h left 😃) before doing a factory reset.

I just hope that it won't happen again ! And next time I will enable ssh.

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

I have the same problem

I am unable to ssh into the system but can boot the readynas 102 into boot mode and telnet in using putty

When i try

# cd /etc/apache2/sites-enabled

I get

-sh: cd: can't cd to /etc/apache2/sites-enabled

when I check the contents of /etc apache2 is not there

if I try

# journalctl -a | grep apache2 | tail -n 20

I get the response
 -sh: journalctl: not found

not sure what else I can do 😞

Did you mount the OS partition?

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

hmmm no, I only have limited knowlege of linux systems and was not aware I had to mount the partition

What is the process to mount it?

I did a quick search on google, would the following be sufficient or are there more commands that need to be executed?

# start_raid.sh
# mount /dev/md0 /sysroot

Re: RN102 - can't connect to web-interface after uninstallin

Not sure you want to start RAID

Perhaps try

mount /dev/md0 /mnt

# pwd
/root

Why are you trying to mount to a non-existent folder?
