Re: RN104 - Out of Memory 36c
Hi brianjmc1,
Do you remember what firmware were you upgrading from?
Did you load 6.6.0 or 6.6.1?
How do I send all logs to ReadyNAS Community moderators?
Regards,

Just disabled quotas. We'll see if this makes a difference on your system.

Re: RN104 - Out of Memory 36c
Don't know if this helps....
Tech finally remoted to my RN104 and turned OFF quotas, rebooted and all is working fine....
Try turning off quotas if you can, might need to put it in one of the other modes...

Re: RN104 - Out of Memory 36c

Re: RN104 - Out of Memory 36c
You are going to rack your brains on this.....I tried EVERYTHING, nothing worked. Only way it was fixed, a tech from this forum, ask for permission and remoted to the box, he cleared the quotas and rebooted. It was using 4tb and had 4tb free... the tech was mdgm and he was GREAT!!!!
good luck...

but i dont have such Volume
You do have a system volume - usually called the OS partition here. You can't normally see it, but the OS is installed on the disks.
I do suggest using paid netgear support to deal with your out-of-memory issue (and they can also resolve the issue with a full system volume).
If you are running 6.6.1 firmware (and have access to the web ui) then I suggest disabling the antivirus service.
If you can download the log zip file, you can look at the system data usage. Volume.log has a section with a df . -h header. The first few entries (up to and including the tmpfs entries) are used by the system itself, and generally shouldn't be very full - no more than ~20%.

Re: RN104 - Out of Memory 36c
There is an option in ReadyNASOS 6.7.0-T169 (Beta 2) to disable quotas at the volume level.

Re: RN104 - Out of Memory 36c
Is this post fixed?
I was always told that :
/dev/md0 4.0G 3.4G 368M 91% /
is a dangerous thing, /dev/md0 should be no more than like 40% .. When it reaches 100 it will die again

Ah, the problem with having different issues for different users discussed in the one thread. That certainly needs fixing.
