Do you have a stuck disk tray (one of the old ones with the round push-button on the bottom) ?

If so, this post should help: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Hardware-Compatibility/Stuck-Disk-Tray-on-ReadyNAS-Duo/m-p...

In the picture, the release block at "B" has been easier for me than the push-pin at "A".    There's a video here showing the "B" method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKczCPiqc-4
