ReadyNAS Vault

Not really sure of the model but it is a Duo. I have a ReadyNAS Duo but it has for the second time failed with no hope of recovery of any of the files I had on it. However, this time, I am hoping I have done the right thing by paying for ReadyNAS Vault to back up my precious files. I now wish to restore my files, but I clearly don't have the original device I used to back them up. In fact, my ReadyNAS will not even power up now, so is competely hopeless. I am hoping someone can help me restore my files back to a PC. I have tried in vain to search for an answer on the forum, but can't find it. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Re: ReadyNAS Vault

Login to https://vault.readynas.com and click on the Help link in the top right of the page. There are help pages on restoring to a desktop and restoring to a ReadyNAS device. I have never had to do this, but using the ReadyNAS Vault Desktop app looks like the way to go for a full recovery to a desktop device using the Restore Job feature. There are both Windows and Mac versions.

Re: ReadyNAS Vault

Thanks. This sounds promising but I am struggling to download the app. I get to the page shown below, but I don't see any active link to do the download. Any ideas? Am I missing something obvious?
