Snapshots - reclaiming storage space
ReadyNAS 312
Just updated firmware to 6.8.1
It is reporting snapshots at 168GB:

I fully deleted all snapshots:

I have done:
# touch /.force_snapshots_upgrade # systemctl restart readynasd
I have restarted several times.
I have done a balance.
How do I clear the space being reported for snapshots?

Re: Snapshots - reclaiming storage space
Update:
ReadyNAS RN312 (for some reason the model pulldown would not show this model), that's why it is empty
firmware is 6.8.1
btrfs subvolume -list /data
Does list some snapshots (I think), i.e. Pictures/.snapshots
doing an ls -all gives
root@nas1:/data/Pictures# ls -all
total 32
drwxrwxrwx+ 1 guest guest 20 Mar 17 2016 .
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 324 Jun 1 13:56 ..
I have tried a second
# touch /.force_snapshots_upgrade
# systemctl restart readynasd
Now the System->Volumes status shows that snapshots are 0 and free space is 349GB (screenshot 1)
but in System->Overview ther is still a yellow section in the pictorial under the /data indicating sme space for snapshots and it says free space 189GB (screenshot 2)
Trying another Balance

Re: Snapshots - reclaiming storage space
Pictures/.snapshots is just the place where snapshots are stored for that share. There would need to be subvolumes beneath that for there to be snapshots e.g.
Pictures/.snapshots/1/snapshot
You could try disabling quotas on the volume, then re-enabling them to force a quota rescan.
The forcing of snapshots upgrade is for upgrading old snapshots from pre-6.2.0 firmware.

Re: Snapshots - reclaiming storage space
Another Balance command did not change the snapshot size
Tried another
# touch /.force_snapshots_upgrade
# systemctl restart readynasd
And now snapshot size agrees
Where are quotas?

Re: Snapshots - reclaiming storage space
Quotas are enabled/disabled in the volume settings wheel.
