Weekly RAID Scrubbing?
I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 6 Plus that's set to scrub disks weekly. And almost every week, the RAID scrubbing actually occurs - it takes about 6-7 hours to complete. I have 3 disks that are configured as RAID Level X-RAID2. I ran a disk test on them but didn't see any errors. I'm wondering if this weekly scrubbing is normal behavior or if there's some kind of problem.

- It takes time to make sure the disks are synced correctly. I perform disk scrubbing monthly and run the Online filesystem consistency check weekly.
- Personally I wouldn't schedule scrubbing weekly - monthly or longer should be sufficient. I see no need to stress the disks that frequently.
