Windows cannot access "Nas files"

I can access my NAS shares but one share is giving me a Windows error message when I try to access some of the folders on it saying that Windows cannot access the files and the "you do not have permission to access" these files.

The folders that I get this message for are the earliest ones I moved. The computer I used to do that at that time is not the one I am using to access them. (It was Windows XP and the current one is Windows 7) However, the NAS permission for this share is set for the current computer. I can access many of the folders but not those "early" ones.

Any ideas?

Kind of a panic to think that a bunch of stuff is gone.

Is there something that needs to be reset in permissions?

Thanks!

Re: Windows cannot access "Nas files"

If you look in the the "advanced options" tab in Frontview for the share, you will see there is a way to reset the owner, group, and permissions for all the files and folders in the share. That should solve your issue.

Re: Windows cannot access "Nas files"

Thank you! This worked perfectly! The un-accessible files are now accessible. Great! (A big relief too)
