nfs: access control according to linux user
ReadyNas 21200
I'm accessing the nas shares by nfs from a linux box
I have an user giuseppe on the nas
I have an user giuseppe and an user maria on the linux box
When I access the nas from my linux box I want to give:
- full rw access to the files on a given share to linux user giuseppe
- no access to the same files to linux user maria
How do I get it?

Re: nfs: access control according to linux user
Hi paolobenve,
You could try checking the steps on how to setup permissions from the link below:
ReadyNAS OS 6: Set Network Access Rights to Shared Folders

Re: nfs: access control according to linux user
It says: "User and group settings do not apply to NFS and rsync"
It says nfs permissions can be set only by host.
So isn't there any way to give access to a user on a given host and a different permission on another user on the same host?

Re: nfs: access control according to linux user
Dear paolobenve
You should start to read the basics about users and groups with linux file systems. You'll find plenty of HOWTOs also in your native language. Please don't be so lazy and ask your favorit internet search engine, e.g.:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Users_and_groups
https://www.linode.com/docs/tools-reference/linux-users-and-groups/
Regards,
Christian
