Any live traffic monitoring options available for FVS336Gv2 ?
Hello all,
Can someone advise if there is any means of monitring live traffic or at least get a summary?
The only option I could find on the firewall is a Traffic meter which only measures how much data has gone through the WAN port.
I am not really interested in data but would like to see how much the link is getting utilized, e.g. the line is 25Mbit symmetrical so how much is being used (day averages, peaks) and what is causing the usage (stations, ports..)
If there is no such thing on the firewall iteslf what would be the best option to get this kind of information?
Much appreciated
David

Re: Any live traffic monitoring options available for FVS336Gv2 ?
Thanks DaneA,
I've seemingly installed the NMS300.
Looks like a cool piece of software unfortunately I am having issues adding the firewall into monitoring.
Using the default credentials the software only successfully logged into SNMP printers.
I tried creating manual credentials for the firewall and ran the discovery with them but credential check is failing.
Per documentation the firewall should be supported.
I am sure the credentials I am using (username + password) are correct.
am wondering if the prot number could be an issue. The firewall interface defaults to https so tried with default 443.
That didn't work so tried a few other ports but no success.
Any ideas?
(Also for soe reason the NMS management page doesn't seem to work in chrome, I only get the login inerface and after entering credentials just a stuck blank page. In IE it seems fine..)
Thanks

Let me share the article below and it might help about the "credential failure" issue you have encountered:
NMS300: How to Fix “Credential Failure”issue
Hope it helps. 🙂

I just want to follow-up on this. Were you able to access the article I've shared to you and tried the steps indicated in it? If yes, what is the result?

Re: Any live traffic monitoring options available for FVS336Gv2 ?
Hi DaneA
Thanks again for the help.
I had to put this on hold as other stuff got in the way but will revisit.
I was able to install the tool but for some reason the firewall wouldn't connect to it seemingly due to a credentials issue.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Dave
