Hi DaneA
Thanks for the Support. The Netgear Firewall is behind the Router of the ISP (Swisscom Internet Box) located. So I found out, that the Swisscom Router didn't forward the internet traffic to the Netgear Firewall. I checked the Swisscom Router and I found the configuration, where this forwarding can be made.
Now it works well.
Thank's a lot.
Best Regards
emei

Re: Security
Hi emei,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
Is the FVS318Gv2 set as the main router? If yes, let us check if port 5711 is really opened using an online port scanner. Follow the steps below:
1. Access this link: http://www.subnetonline.com/pages/network-tools/online-port-scanner.php
2. On the "Enter Port to scan" field, enter 5711.
3. Check the box that says "By selecting this option you confirm that you agree to the "Terms of use" below."
4. Click on the Scan Port button.
Note: If it shows "online/reachable" it means that port 5711 is really opened on the FVS318Gv2.
If ever the steps above does not help. Let us try the steps below:
1. Edit the custom port you have entered on the Services. Instead of port 5711, change it to port 5001.
2. Then, point it to the LAN IP address 192.168.1.100 via the Edit LAN WAN Inbound Services.
3. On the "Translate to Port Number" field, change port 5001 to 5711.
4. Check if you will be able to access your Synology NAS via https://xxxx.synology.me:5711

DaneA
