Share printer on 2 VLANS at router
We have a FVS318N set up with two VLANs. The default has IPs 192.168.0.x
The second is for guest wireless access with IPs 192.168.3.x to give internet access and keep them separate from the main network.
The default VLAN has access to all the FVS318N ports. The Second VLAN will only have access to port 7. If I connect a network printer with a 192,168.0.x IP to port 7, The main VLAN can print to it.
Is there a way for the second VLAN to print to it?
I have seen other threads talking about using another router to do this. Since this is at the router, can it be done this way?

Re: Share printer on 2 VLANS at router
You need to create a VLAN Rule allowing it.
If you enable Inter VLAN Routing your private network will be wide open.
Read my LAN Subnets NOT to Use tutorial.

I didn't think it had VLAN rules on this models. I could be totally wrong and manual did not show that ...

Re: Share printer on 2 VLANS at router
I thought VLAN routing would defeat the point of the separate VLANs.
I will look into the VLAN rules. Thanks
