UPnP Not activated On a FVS338
Hello awery one!
need help!
My problem is this.
The UPnP-adjustment is inactivated on the router or it doesen't support the UPnP standard that it demands to automaticly konfigurate the portforwading to your FVS338.
And i cant find where to opening that UPnP adjustment in NETGEAR Configuration Manager for FVS338
And i wont to have access to my VHS 2011 from the internet.
So i hope som one here can help me.
thx and love Tokboy

Re: UPnP Not activated On a FVS338
Ha ha!
Sorry have a bitt of a rush.
Still dont working is
The Home page on the server.
But thinking thats not the Routers handling.
The Remote Web Access working from the outside.
So it most be somthing on the server.
So Thanks for the help so far.
And have a question to "jmizoguchi" if you some time have time to answer
i will be happy.
Question:
How is it best way to use a
"NETGEAR ProSafe VPN Firewall FVS338" on
This is what I have:
100/100 broadband.
1st WGR614v7 For Wireless for som lapptopps.
1st Server, Windows Home Server 2011
1st Networksprinter.
2st Desktop computers.
1st Satellite TV receivers
And several pieces of other media machines like
Popcour A210 and A110, BlueRay and TV.
This is how i use it now:
From broadband outlet to the FVS338
From the FVS338 to WGR614 so i can have the Wirreless contacts.
The FVS338 is config like a DHCP Server
I have enable Source MAC Address Filtering so only listed MAC Addresses have internet access. I also Hav configed IP/MAC Binding for all my divices
Is this the best way to use a FVS338 or is it on a ather way.
Perhaps like a VPN thing. (Do not really know what it is)
Why I chose a FVS338 is that I needed 8 ports for all my media stuff.
And this was the best I found.
Hope you will take the time
to give me a recommendations how best to use my FVS338
Lovly regards Tokboy:)

Looks fine to me. I say WGR should be access point setup ,LAN to LAN connection and you are all good
