snmp with FVS336G
Hiya
I have configured a Zabbix server and am trying to connect my FVS335G to it. I have configured the FVS336G with the following SNMP entry:
IP Address Subnet Mask Port Community
x.x.x.x 255.255.255.255 162 public
telnet to port 162 from that host yields this:
#telnet 172.16.2.254 162
Trying 172.16.2.254...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection timed out
what do i need to do to make jmy FVS336G respond? Firmware is 3.0.7-24
Thanks

Re: snmp with FVS336G
Subnet mask is wrong.
You have to enable telnet in remote management.

Re: snmp with FVS336G
I think he is telnetting from the zabbix server - try port 161 - the default for snmp - I believe there is a quirk in 3.0.7-24, where the port specified is for traps and not polling.
