which firewall allows this configuration
Hi. I'm looking for suggestions on which model of firewall to buy for a small business. The following list of requirements needs to be met. Any suggestions?
Thanks very much!
- Anti-spoofing filters
- Block Private IP addresses
- Block unroutable IP addresses
- Block reserved addresses
- Block illegal addresses
- Block internal addresses over external ports
- Block UDP and ICMP echo requests
- Block unused ports and services
- Block unauthorized DNS zone transfers
- Apply egress filtering i.e. outgoing traffic can only come from an internal address
- List users permitted behaviors, e.g. http to a webserver
- List management permitted behaviors e.g. SNMP traps
- Specify rules for traffic to be denied and for the administrator to be alerted
- Specify rules for traffic to be denied and logged for future analysis.

Re: which firewall allows this configuration
Hi cchobbs,
Welcome to the community!
Thank you for choosing Netgear! We may have the firewall needed on your network as we do have 4 models to choose from. I would recommend the SRX5308 as it has 4 WAN ports and it can handle upto 924mbps lan to wan throughput. It can also block specific traffic and also supports MAC access-control.
You may check our datasheet here. Just let us know if this would suffice.
Regards,
