WG111v3 driver not compatible with Windows 8

Hello folks. I recently upgraded to Windows 8 on my primary desktop computer. I use a Netgear WG111v3 USB Adapter, version 2, and I am unable to connect to my wireless network. I used the manufacturer CD which came with the WG111v3 and it installs fine, but I am unable to run the Smart Wizard thing to configure network parameters. I tried running the program in compatibility mode for both Windows 7 and Windows XP, but it still wouldn't work. It says the driver is not compatible with this version of Windows (Win 8). I've tried searching all over the internet to find a compatible driver, but couldn't find one.

Is Netgear currently working on developing a new driver compatible with Windows 8? I would like to know when it would be available.

I just made a post about my WG111v2. Maybe it will push you in the right direction. Here's the post: http://forum1.netgear.com/showthread.php?t=81315

You should install older version (1.5) not 2.0 (the newest one). Tested @ Windows 8 64 bit.
