A6150, AC1200 getting high ping during games
Hello
I've bought a A6150/AC1200 Wifi USB Mini Adapter to get internet on my new PC. The purpose was to play some computer games. When I start a game it works fine for a while, however after some time the speed drops and I lag out of the game. I have done a ping test, when the lag starts and it shows some ping spikes where the ping goes from being around 100 ms to being 1-2k ms. I did a ping test on a laptop using the same internet at the same time. This laptop did not have the ping spikes. Does anyone know how to solve such an issue? Could it be due to the adapter overheating?
I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

By no means the most power wifi adapter around. Pretty well bottom of the range.

People who play games tell me that wifi is never going to be as fast as wired Internet.

Wired or wifi?

I have never seen that one mentioned here before.
You don't say what device you are using for games, if it is a PC and you cannot run wires around the place, you might find Powerline Ethernet is faster than wifi.

I'm not using the wifi connected on my PC.

So, you have a wifi adapter to get wifi on your PC but you aren't using wifi on your PC.
I'm lost.
